Welcome to the Priory Church of St Mary, Bridlington. This website gives an insight into how the Good News of Jesus Christ is witnessed here today, and has been for over 900 years.
As part of its Augustinian heritage, the Priory endeavours to encompass the three great monastic themes of Prayer, Study and Hospitality.

‘Old Choristers’ Association’
On Saturday 27th September 2025, the Priory Church Choir will be hosting a reunion in church for former choristers.
This reunion will be the launch event for the Priory’s newly formed ‘Old Choristers’ Association’ which will enable former singers to stay in touch with one another, and with what is happening in the Priory Choir nowadays.
We very much hope that you would like to attend the reunion. For those wishing to sing with the choir, there will be a rehearsal at 3pm in the Priory. The service itself will be at 4pm, and will be directed jointly by Paul Dewhurst and Michael Smith (Director of Music from 1987 to 2019) and will last about 40 minutes.
If you would like to join us on Saturday 27th September, or if you have any further questions, then please contact PR Dewhurst, Director of Music, at bridlingtonpriorymusic@gmail.com
All are welcome, whether you’ve sung in the choir previously or not, to the service in Bridlington Priory on Saturday the 27th September at 4pm.
