Welcome to the Priory Church of St Mary, Bridlington. This website gives an insight into how the Good News of Jesus Christ is witnessed here today, and has been for over 900 years.
As part of its Augustinian heritage, the Priory endeavours to encompass the three great monastic themes of Prayer, Study and Hospitality.
Coronavirus Pandemic: Public Worship at Bridlington Priory
Due to Coronavirus restrictions, Bridlington Priory is still unable to offer its usual range of public acts of worship.
Update (May 2021):
Bridlington Priory is now open to the public from Monday – Friday (11am – 3pm). The gift shop welcomes visitors, but at this time is unable to provide change for any purchases made.
There is a celebration of the Eucharist every Sunday at 10:30am. The risk-assessed maximum number of people who can attend that service in a Covid-safe manner is 90. There is therefore a remote risk that entry to the service might be denied.
However, the service will continue to be streamed live on the Friends of Bridlington Priory Church Facebook page. The livestream is subsequently available to view on the Bridlington Priory YouTube channel. Please click here for further information and updates.
Bridlington Priory remains committed to re-establishing its full range of services as soon as possible.
